$30 Blog Logo and Header Contest

JonLee.ca has never really had a logo. Since the beginning, it’s been a line of text with the name of the blog. Since I don’t have much talent in the area of graphics design, I have decided to hold a design contest to find a new logo and header image.
The Contest
The goal of the contest is to design a new header image for my blog. The header should also contain a logo which can be used separately.
The winner of the contest (as judged by me) will receive $30 US via Paypal.
Design
The header should contain the words “Jon Lee” as well as some indication that it is a .ca domain (not necessarily “dot see eh”). Other words may include “web development blog”, “fun web development” etc.
It should also somehow be related to web development but not necessarily to ruby on rails as my favicon may suggest.
Color Scheme
There is no specific color scheme requirement. I’d like to keep the scheme I have right now but if something looks really good I wouldn’t mind changing the rest of the site to go with it.
Technical Notes
- If the logo is incorporated into the header, I would like the logo as a separate file.
- I will require the “source” file (e.g. the .psd file if made in Photoshop)
- Vector format if possible (or at least a high DPI)
- Transparent background
End Date
I am going to set the end date of this contest to be a month from now although this could be subject to change if nothing suitable has been selected.
