Who is Jon Lee?

Jon Lee created his first website when he was 12 – a fan site on Geocities for his favourite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He created his first successful site when he was 15 – a Pokemon site that would eventually become one of the most popular Pokemon sites at the time, attracting over a million visitors until it was taken down for copyright reasons. In the last 20 years, he has gained a lot of experience in web development and has come a long way since his Geocities days.

Jon has completed a degree in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a degree in Education from Queen’s University.

In his spare time, Jon runs several websites including a successful photo-sharing site and a whole slew of modest but interesting sites. He also maintains this blog to share his experiences as a web developer.

Jon is a Chinese-Canadian, enjoys basketball, squash, loves Japanese food and takes public transit. He calls Toronto and London home. :cool:
