Breaking into Technorati’s Most Popular Blogs

Out of the 70 million blogs being tracked by Technorati, I’m currently the 95th most popular. (It should be mentioned that only an estimated 38.5 million of these are active.)
This figure can be deceiving though; the ranking is based on the number of people that have “favorited” me — not the best way of measuring a blog’s popularity as opposed to say, RSS subscriber count. Either way, if you haven’t added me to your favorites, do it now!
As of this post, I have 143 favorites, a big jump from the 8 I had at the beginning of the month! This is due mostly to Gary Lee’s Technorati Fave Train. This is similar to the My Name in my Domain Name link exchange except that it involves adding blogs to your Technorati favorites list. Being one of the early users on the list certainly helped and now I feel it is my turn to do my part. If you haven’t participated in this link exchange yet, here’s your chance!

Here are the rules:
1) Write a short introduction paragraph about what how you found the list and include a link to the blog that referred you to the list.
2) COPY the Rules and ENTIRE List below and post it to your blog. To avoid duplicate content and increase the amount of keywords your site can be accessible for, go ahead and change the titles of the blogs. Just don’t change the links of the blogs.
3) Take My New Faves and move them into the The Original Faves list.
4) Add 3 Blogs that you’ve just added to your Technorati Favorites to the My New Faves section. Remember to also add the “Fave Me” link next to your new blogs (i.e. http://technorati.com/faves?sub=addfavbtn&add=http://www.yourfavesdomain.com)
5) Add Everyone on this list to your Technorati Favorites List by clicking on “Fave the Site.” (Please FAVE EVERYONE on the List prior to posting the list or a Kitten will Die Alone in a Dark Alley Tonight). Those who want good karma will fave you back. If not, you will for sure get the benefits of faves from the bloggers who continue this list after you.
