Game Break: You Deserve It
Posted by Jon Lee in Entertainment, tags: flash-games, gaming, productivityWriting and testing code for hours at a time can be a daunting task. Composing interesting and informative blog articles can be tiring. You deserve a break! Taking a short break to relax can really help productivity in the long run.
There are tons of Flash games out there that can provide you with much satisfaction and fun without the need for a high end graphics card, monthly subscription, a large time investment and cost you your social life (*cough* World of Warcraft).
Here are a few sites to get you started:
- Eyezmaze – This Japanese flash game maker has tons of original stuff that aren’t anything like your typical flash game but are just as fun!
- Newgrounds – A huge collection of user submitted content, they have a huge community so many great games come from there.
- Ninja Kiwi – A few original custom made games including the popular Bloons!
- Orisinal – A collection of simple “cute” flash game – all very pretty and very well made
- Armor Games – They sponsor a lot of creative and original games but also collect other games from around the net. They seem to have a similar taste to games I like!
The most important thing is to make sure you set a time limit because some of the games can be very addicting. A short break every once in a while is beneficial, but don’t lose yourself amongst the pretty colors.
