HP Upline sucks, Mozy to the rescue!

HP Upline is an online data backup solution run by the big boys, HP. They offer monthly subscriptions for different online backup plans which don’t cost much, but frankly, is probably more than you should pay for their subpar service.

Just last week, HP Upline’s web interface went down for a few days. A couple days later, the entire service (backups, website, e-mail support) went down completely, leaving customers confused and expectedly annoyed. This kind of downtime is inexcusable for a service that is supposed to provide security and piece of mind for your data!

A Much Better Cheaper (or free) Alternative
If you remember, I talked about the free backup solution offered by Mozy a few months ago. Now here’s a bunch of folks that know what they’re doing and they are taking advantage of this situation.

For the next week, Mozy is offering 25% of all of their paid subscription plans if you sign up annually or biannually if you use coupon code UPLINE – haha hit them while they’re down.

If you miss this coupon then you can also use coupon code MAY for 10% off annual subscriptions (MAY2 for biannual).

At just $4.95 a month (before coupons), you get unlimited backup storage.

But if you only need to backup a few files, you can sign-up for the free account which gives you all the benefits with 2GB of storage. Don’t forget to use my referral code: T3DN37 to give both of us an extra 256mb of free storage!

Coupon summary:
UPLINE
– 25% off paid subscription (annual/biannual)
MAY – 10% off paid subscription (annual)
MAY2 – 10% off paid subscription (biannual)
