Make Your Blog a Favorit

New startup Fav.or.it is launching a private beta soon and they are looking for content from blogs. They will accept the first 10,000 blogs submitted to them.
What is Fav.or.it?
Basically, Fav.or.it is a feed aggregator — it will dig through its thousands of feeds and give you articles that match your preferences. You define your preferences based on 3 parameters: Rank, Tag and Category.
Tag and category are self explanatory but rank is pretty interesting. Each post will start off with a rank equal to the Technorati rank of your blog. This means higher ranked blogs will have their articles read more often. But if users like your post, they can also say so and increase your blog ranking (rank it higher). This gives low Technorati ranked blogs a chance to get noticed as long as they have good content!
Isn’t this kind of like an RSS Reader?
Yes and no. You can specify certain feeds that you like but you can also search through their entire database of blogs.
The main feature that sets Fav.or.it apart from RSS readers is that you can comment on the articles directly from the site. Comments made there will appear on the actual blog. Haven’t you always wanted to make comments on a post but was too lazy to open up that post in a separate page? Well here’s the ultimate solution 
Submit your Blog
Right now, you can submit your blog to be included in their beta test. This could be great exposure for your blog if you write some high quality content! They are accepting 1,000 blogs in each “band” based on your Technorati ranking:
Band 1 1 – 1000 Band 2 1000 – 5000 Band 4 10000 – 25000 Band 6 50000 – 100000 Band 8 250000 – 500000 Band 10 750000 – 1000000
If your blog is in one of the higher bands, I’d submit your blog soon because they will probably fill up faster.
