If you’re reading this post then that means you’re seeing the new jonlee.ca site on the new dedicated-virtual server. Over the past few weeks I’ve slowly moved all my sites over to the new server with this blog being the last one.
I’ve also updated the design of the site to give it a wider 3-column layout to maximize screen estate usage. There are still a few things missing but hopefully it displays properly for everyone. I’m still using the Mandigo theme but I’ve customized it quite a bit to suit my own needs. Check out the little buttons in the top right hand corner — give them a click!
As you can see, I’ve picked a winner for my blog logo and header image contest. The winner is from the Digital Point forum but I’m still waiting on the logo.
Leave a comment and let me know what you think of the new design! I’m open to all suggestions!
P.S. I noticed that all my apostrophes have become weird symbols, if anyone has a quick fix for it, let me know!

jon, your site looks great! i love the update. the 3-column layout is definitely a plus and i think a lot of people are going to start going 3 instead of 2 for the same reason as you. cool that you went thru DP for the logo, it’s a great resource for logos and headers…and a bunch of other stuff i can’t mention
Thanks for the compliments!
With increasing average screen resolutions there was no real good reason for me to stick with a 800×600 design (although it looks a little ‘cleaner’)
Hi Jon,
I’ve been searching for the right theme with all the right perks for a while now without luck, till I arrived here. This theme answers 95% of my requirements. Its awesome. I don’t know what your blog looked like before now, but this is really tidy. I’ve downloaded the theme from Mandigo, next got to find out how to personalize it. Thanks for pointing the way and any tips on tweaking it would be appreciated.
My blog was also using the mandigo theme before but with a 2 column layout so I couldn’t display as much content at once.
The biggest tip is if you want to add 2-column spanning blocks on the right, it’s impossible to do it with CSS… I tried for hours.
I ended up just embedding an inner table

thanks for the tip. Am trying to install the local server you talked about so I can test run before uploading.
Solid upgrade
Wider templates are the way to go for sure. Nice one
