Physics Engine… in JavaScript!
Posted by Jon Lee in Web Development, tags: Box2D, flash, JavaScript, physics engine, PrototypeWith just 350k, the Box2D physics engine was ported to Javascript. Although Flash physics engines are plentiful and pretty much everyone already has Flash installed, the demand for a Javascript-based physics engine may seem slim. But given that many mobile devices still do not support Flash, there is some potential for a project like this.

Amazing how far Javascript and web-development has matured over the past few years, isn’t it?
Check out a demo of the engine in action on the Sourceforge page. It uses the powerful Prototype Javascript library.
